Bought my Bravo 4 months ago with 1 prev owner and 35k on the clock. Had immediate problems with non-working fuel gauge and cut-out problems. Both paid for by dealer after 'discussion'
Now it's developed a horrible tapping sound from the engine. It sounded like a 2CV when I started up on Friday. This seems to have started quite suddenly. Drove home (6 miles) and the sound seemed to get louder and deeper (this could have been psychological - brought on by my increasing anxiety)
Anyway it's there when idling and gets louder and faster when revved. Had a quick listen this morning and seems to be coming from head (as some will have already sussed I know skidaddle about cars)
I was too worried to leave it running for long
Oil clean and at right level
Does this ring any bells?
