In the process of getting cambelt done on my Marea 1.9jtd so that its done before Nige remaps it and now my brake master cylinder is going! obviously dont want 150bhp and worse brakes, so need to get that done before hand too :(
What I need to know is whether the master cyclinders are fairly universal across the marea/bravo/brava range!? I have a 2001 1.9 JTD 110bhp with ABS and fiat want £110!!! Does anyone have a parts CD that can tell me what I may be able to get a master cylinder off cos theres planety of bravos/bravas/mareas in the scrappy down here but no jtds!
Cheers for any help guys.

Really appreciate you doing that mate, thanks. You say its the same part number for all models? So I can get one off a 1.6 or 1.8 etc?
It seems like a hideous price for a master cylinder, not had one fail on me for about 8 years, and back then it cost about £30!
Cheers

I thought it was your m/cylinder? The reason it is so expensive is probably because it's also the clutch m/cylinder? If your only problem is loss of brake fluid, take a look at your clutch slave cylinder under the battery.

From what i can tell on epc because all the parts numbers are the same, But you can also buy parts of the master servo from fiat.
Dont hold me to it tho, best bet is to go back to ur dealer and get them to check it out.

Oops! Got that wrong! It's the reservoir that supplies both brake and clutch, not the m/CYL!
