Technical Help finding stiffer springs

So I've got some lowering springs on now that have been chopped but the ride is not good it bounces a lot, the springs are only 20mm I think then chopped down so would 40mm be stiffer springs

Sorry, but could you re-write your question please.
Have you chopped the Spax springs?
Lowering is not only releated to coilsprings, shock absorbers are important as well especially to reduce bouncing.

Do you know what the current springs are? Most are 40mm drop anyway with the occasional 30 so if they are cut down from that a set of 40mm springs are likely to be less of a drop and actually softer as they get stiffer when cut down. Having said that if it's a bouncy ride that wouldn't be a bad thing, the springs as is are probably too harsh for what are probably standard shocks ( uprated shocks are much harder to get and more expensive than the springs for a Panda) so a set of uncut springs, preferably with fresh shocks would improve things.

Spax springs are 40mm and coupled with some new standard dampers give an excellent ride, a little stiffer than a standard car but not excessively hard and certainly not bouncy.



This car is fitted with a set of Spax and new OE quality shocks so that gives you an idea of how low it will be.

Well at the minute it's in chopped springs with uprated dampers so the dampers can go shorter but the ride is bouncy and when you're doing 40 it isn't the easiest thing to control so I've ordered new 40mm springs and maybe only cut one coil off.

If we're talking about front only and you're addicted to chopping coils springs I would suggest to go for Skoda Felicia ESTATE rear springs ( estate - not 5 door hatch). Cut them to desired height and you should be sorted - cheaper than another set of spax. Fecicia estate springs are same coil diameter but the rod is approx. 11 mm.

For the rear pair of assister springs migh be required, and try 4x4 rear shocks as they are 80mm shorther but thge stroke is not badly affected.

I think I have some 4x4 shocks on the back but I think they've got no oil due to the back bouncing which is affecting the front which have aftermarket 50% uprated shockers, and I've got new 40mm springs for Christmas as mine is a bit too low for my roads as it struggles to get other my dads pit at work with has a 2 inch pipe infront of it, so the gearbox is just under two inch low

So I did a quick bounce test this morning before I got a lift to college and it's the rear dampers, as the back bounces a lot for lowered springs were as the front is pretty much solid
