Help, electrical problem

I was hoping some one might have a suggestion.

I have a Brave 1.6sx. The battery appeared to be dead. I have had the battery changed. However, I still had to jump the card to get it going. They said it had a majour electrical fault (not a dealer, just a car and exhaust place). Could it be a dodgy started motor? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

if you can jump start it with leads its not the starter motor

get your altenator and battery checked! if you have charged the battery and it stil wont start but it will off jump leads then i put money on it being ur battery!
