Just about to pick up a new 500 in BNW with ivory ambiance and the grey checkered cloth interior. The question is do I need to pay what is quite a lot for the car's interior (and exterior) to be protected by what I think is called Sureguard?

When I tell you I have 2 kids, one of whom is a 7 year old boy, plus a dog, I think you will all say "YES OF COURSE YOU DO YOU IDIOT", but does it really work?

I'd be grateful for all experiences and opinions.

We bought it on our C as we have kids (that are very clumsy) and it covers the hood inside and out too. Yes it is expensive but it does guarantee that if you cant get a stain out they will fix it for you. The inner lining of the hood got dirty the other day just because of dust. I cant see that it will come out easily but I would like to think that the dealer will sort if I cant

Get it and do it yourself if you're concerned, it's far cheaper. I got the interior stuff for a fiver and it's stupidly easy to apply. (y)

All of these 'Lacrose' paint and fabric protectors are good. They work really well.

BUT the biggest complaint for it not working was a **** poor original application by the valetor. Not worth the £200+ cost, especially as it costs less than £60 for the dealer etc...!

I would get some and apply it myself. Then I would know it had been applied with nothing skipped.

I've seen a valetor 'apply' a full SupaGard in about 15mins. How is that supposed to have had the curing time huh?
