everything going **** like always the deadline moved my mates funeral was yesterday when got told had 2 weeks so car wasnt done and its failed its mot too add to problem. engine its getting there but taking its time block come back there cant bore it any bigger than 1.4 so need to get 1.6 block now so everything is f**ked up

Well unfortuneatly people told you on this thread it wouldnt bore out to what you wanted so you said you was getting a 1.6 block, and then you went and attempted to get it bored anyway???

A complete waste of time so far

Also if it had a very short MOT why not MOT it first, then start on the project?

I suggest listening a bit more to those that have been there and appear to have better knowledge on these cars than yourself :)

mot was no were near running out had about 11 months left got pulled by vosa and vechile cheched and because of exhaust they make you have retest so took for the retest and exhaust was to loud, sunstrip to far down window, fuel tank leaking and all the dampers ****ed. i would do the conversion he said but 1.6 16valve has a nice ring to it and found one on youtube.

For a 1.4 16v (SuperFIRE)you need one from a Panda 100hp, 500, Stilo 1.4 16v and there are some in the Grande Puntos, too. Get the gearbox with it (you'll get the flywheel and clutch free that way). For the 1.4 16v Turbo, you want an engine and 5 speed box (there's so much torque you don't need a 6 speed) from a Mito 155, Punto Abarth or a 500 Abarth.

The turbo engine isn't simply a turboed 1.4 16v NA motor, so it makes sense to buy something which the factory sorted out. Don't forget, you'll need an ECU, too.
