Hello, I'm Federico from Italy, and I'm here because I have to help a friend in big trouble with his 2008 Croma 1.9........yes , it is the usual driveshafts problem!
As you could imagine from my nickname, I'm happy owner of an E46 320.
Yesterday I drove the Croma. Not bad at all, very nice engine, but the interior is horrible, at least that one....low quality plastic everywhere....it is far from my old Bmw......Anyway, it seems that I'll have to fix the driveshafts....so I have to go and search for the information I need.....in this case, my Tis is useless

Hi Federico.and welcome to FF.

2008..IS that a GM/SAAB croma..?

Charlie

Hi Charlie,
yes, the car is a "new" Croma , diesel 1.9 with 6 speed manual transmission. I know now that it has many parts from Gm, and that is good to know. If I'd knew that before, I'd have choosen the Opel/Vauxall Vectra driveshafts , used on ebay are usually cheap, cheaper than the parts I've just bought to rebuild both driveshaft......Anyway, now I need to install the manual I have downloaded from FF....and tomorrow we'll see!

The work is done. I have bought the parts to rebuild both driveshafts on ebay, 195 euro shipped at home, and fixed the croma. It was not that easy for me, with the cheap idraulic lifters.....the space was not much. Anyway I was able to do the work and my friend called me after driving his Croma and was very happy....he said the car had never been so smooth even when new! Thank you very much for the useful information I have found here!
