General Hello

Just thought I would say Hi and thanks for such a great forum.

I bought a 2 tone sei about 10 months ago for £600 and its been great.
I've changed the exhaust, batt, wiper motor and ariel. I do enjoy doing it and the parts cost peanuts. Doris has become part of our family.
A few questions,
Whilst changing the wiper motor I noticed a loose pipe tucked to one side. Having investigated the forum I believe it to be a radiator bleed pipe. Is it easy to put back?
Very occasionally it won't go into gear.I have to switch the engine off put it in gear and away I go. It does this about once every couple of months.
Any ideas?

For the clutch, try adjustment.

Where is the pipe? Usually it pops out through the inner wing just by the washer refill cap. Just a pipe with a little screw in cap.......

Yeah hi fingers.
I've had a look and I can see the hole. It looks like I would have to take the bumper off to reconnect it to the radiator.
Is it important? Its been driving fine since I've had it.

If all the coolant hasn't come out I suspect it is connected at the radiator end.

I'd try to fish it back through the hole using a peice of wire and a little tape.

I recommend just whipping off the drivers wheel and inner arch, you can get that pipe back through the hole easy peasy then, i tried fiddling blindly at this the other day. It would have been quicker if i just took wheel and arch out in the first place.

Great thanks. While I'm here I noticed one of the wheel studs is missing. I got a replacement but it dosent fit. I then tried another stud from the wheel, this didn't fit either. Ill take the wheel off and investigate further.

Stud or bolt? should be 12mm x 1.25. Maye the thread in the hub is buggered?

Fairly easy but you need a press to take them out and in. Should be able to get a m12x1.25 tap and recut the thread

I notice on eBay they have hubs complete with disc etc attached for £20. Would this do it?

should be if the bearing is ok still.. I'd prefer to go the scrappies and get one off myself personally - at least you can check the mileage of the car and its general condition first. Would expect to get it for less money that way too.

front wheel bearing and hub is really cheap for the cento. It cost around £20 per side for a engineering shop to press them out and fit them in.

Other way is to get it helicoiled. But scrappy is probably the cheapest option.

Wont it helcoil in situ? A kit should not be too expensive?
