HI I'm Richard

i joined as i needed to see a wiring diagram for the 2007-2014 500 100HP engine loom.

I have someone doing an engine swap using the 100hp engine into a seicento, as i make speeduino stand alone ECU's and do custom/modied looms they contacted me to see if i could do it so here i am doing my research.

My plan is to take the stock seicento engine loom to chassis plug (for Power/starter/alternator etc) and modify the 100hp loom to suit, at the same time I'm removing the factory ECU connector from its case to allow the loom to plug straight into the custom made speeduino and encloure that can stay in the engine bay and be on show.

I'll probably make a thread to cover everything i did to do the convertion and offer my services to others if it all goes to plan :)

Regards
Richard

got the old factory loom pinout sorted and the plug for the body connection removed with plenty of wire on it

got the new loom ECU plug removed (cant use the ecu socket as the pins are 1mm square on the inside of the ecu), the wires are grouped up ready and marked up.

next i need to conned the mew loom starter/alternator/igniton power and tacho wires from the old loom to the new loom, add the old relay module into the mox to control the power to coils/injectors using one half and pump using the other half of it, add an ignition module to drive to dumb pencil coils, then extend all the engine wires as we are moving the ECU to be in the glovebox out the way.

pics and pinout list i'll post when ive done more to it, its only being done a couple hours at night when i can so slow progress but tripple checking everything as i go along as i wont be at the car when its done to correct any mistakes lol

Hi All

wiring is done and off to the customer for fitting later today, i have a full wiring list and pinout of the project that i will upload with the pics later on when i finalise the paperwork.

the loom mods allows the 100HP engine to plug into the car body loom connector the old engine used, this allows use of the old relay box to control the injectors, coils, pump, RPM dial (may need to do a mod for this but we will see once fitted), reverse switch, Vehicle speed sensor wiring and the original water temp dial if the sensor can be fitted, I added an igniton module to run the dumb coils the 100HP engine uses rather than swapping to a smart coil away from the engine or having to fit smart COP units.

the aftermarket ECU (speeduino, that i make) will have full sequential control of fuel and spark and a built in LSU4.9 wideband controller with the wiring added into the loom ready to plug in the LSU4.9 sensor just above the gearbox area, a standard throttle body was fitted to remove the DBW throttle unit and wires added to run a standard 3pin TPS sensor (no idle control, will do this via ignition timing/fuel table).

cost of the work including the ECU is around £550-600 which for a fully modified loom that plugs straight in and a programable ECU isn't bad going, i can do pretty much any engine/car providing canbus isn't used, the wiring diagrams are available and you have the looms etc.

remoted on today and got the car idling nicely, just wating for cold start test now the hot idle AFR is set so i can check cold start is ok.

owner is on here and will do his own project post hopefully :)

couple of loom pics, shame the ignition plastic is damaged or it would of ended up looking spot on
