Hello,

I notice that there are traces of coolant fluid (those white traces) in the air outlets for the pansager feet.
Also there is a lot of moist when I first turn on the hair. And the air also carries the smell of the coolant fluid.

So I am guessing that my heating matrix is leaking.
My Punto (from 1.2 16v 2002) has air conditioning.

How hard is it to replace the heating matrix? Do I have to remove the whole dash board? Does having air conditioner complicates the work?

Thanks in advance

I'd imagine so, I did my Mk1 and it's a dash out, I recon they hang a heater matrix on a piece of wire and build the car around it!

I am supposing so. It would be nice to find out either way from somebody who has done the work.

Yeah, I am trying to figure out if it is something that I can do myself, or if is it better handle by an expert.
If I only need to remove nuts and screws, than I can do it. And I can handle the coolant hoses and such.
But if it also involves removing the AC system, than I have a problem. I am not sure how to handle the pressurized system.

Also the leak seems to be minimal. I am not loosing a lot of coolant, and it's been 5 months since the system was put at level, and I am now at the minimum.
