Hi I'm new to this forum,my ventilation system has stopped working totally,I've looked in the user guide and I can't seem to find out what fuse it would be for this problem.
I have a grande punto 07 1.2
Any help would be appreciated
Mark

Its common for the wiring loom to melt if the fan is used on '4' regularly. By all means check the fuse first but be prepared for a more serious fault.

If it isn't the fuse, a search will turn up many threads detailing where the suspect loom can be found.

More than likely going to need the resistor and wiring loom.
Look up behind the glovebox for a wiring plug. If there's signs of blackness or melted wires then its a loom and resistor youl need I'm afraid.

I've just had a look and I can't see any melted wires or blackness, could it not be a fuse? If so does anyone know what fuse it is

Hi: If your car was built between 1/11/06 & 31/10/07 it's subject to a recall for a Heater wiring problem and you need to give your local Fiat dealer a ring.

so does this basically mean any 56 reg and any 07 reg cars. As mine is an 07 and my heaters/blowers work but they are just rubbish! very poor blowyness! When on hot, the air is cold before it reaches my face :/ takes the p**s

Sounds like a different issue, if the wiring is melted the fan wouldn't work at all.

Check your pollen filter, its not normally changed as part of a service so it could well be the original one from when the car was built.

My previous car's airacon was rubbish despite a re-gas and I was about to pay out a load of money to try and find the problem when it occurd to me that I hadn't checked the filter. Sure enough it was as black as ash and had never been changed despite being listed on the service schedule. New filter installed and aircon was transformed as was heater in cold weather.

Re Grande Punto 2007
Nobody has actually answered the initial question - where is the fuse for the heater,
My Handbook in the list of fuses does not mention the Heater
I found a fuse box behind the glove box - but what now ?

Haha thanks!

Manual I have says 18, low and behold there is nothing in 18 lol. So I trawled through loads of threads on here and some guy took it to Fiat and one if their technicians told him it was 2.

Obviously I had my own heating woes, hence the searching.

It's a 30A in number 2 in the engine fuse box.

there is no number 2 fuse in the engine fuse box according to the handbook......

no2 is in the boot mounted in selected models....

or in the dash for the OBD2 power supply
