Punto (Mk1) heater problem

Hi have a problem the heater in my wife's y plate punto has stopped working but the switch now works the lights and when you put on the hazard switch as well as the heater the front lights flash as well as the indicators anyone had this prob and know how to fix it please

hi,
I take it you mean the fan switch..??,

common'ish problem on the mk2 punto,
it's a burnt/damaged earth wire to the fan..!!,

had this on my nieces 16v punto,
1 short section of EXTRA wire later it was fixed,
