Technical heater knobs - reposition

hi guys, how easy would it be to move the heater nobs around? reason for asking is that i want my LCD touchscreen for my carputer in the panel where the sei has the nobs. and i want the nobs down where the radio was.

Anything is possible, I've never seen anyone do it on a Cinq but its fairly common on R5GT Turbos to reposition the heater controls.

You just have to make a linkage from where ever you want the controls to be to where they lead to at the moment as there are physical connections, not like some modern cars where its done by electrics.

It would take time and effort, but could be done you could probably make a panel for them and put it in the centre consol bit which does nothing anyway.

IIRC the 5's use cables so a reposition isnt as tricky as using the rods as in the cinq.
as said its down to the work your willing to do. not really a technical job but could be fiddly.

In that case I think they are elctrical conections which means that there is no physical join and there fore a case of extending the wires to reposition, but don't take my word on it.

if that was the case you could do something completly different. you could mount them in the roof or something different like that

in the roof LOL? sounds good, would have to use smaller dials i guess. can the hazard switch go up with the door light? i mean is that MOT legal.

as long as they work i dont think it matters where it is(within reason,dont think you could have it in the boot )
as for switches i would think any dimmer type switch would do? like i said you could do somethink really clever.

I'm not sure if Fiat tend to use the same theme throughout, but I'm interested in doing this to my Brava, I saw one with it done to it and wondered if it was some amazinbg fete of cable extending.

Maybe it is just a case of adding some wire.
