I had a recent rodent problem and a mouse decided to pay my car (1.9 JTD Multiwagon) a visit. My fault, as it was in some black bin liners I put in the boot. I think it's now dead as the bait blocks have stopped disappearing.
It might be coincidental, but shortly after my uninvited guest arrived, first the external temperature sensor temperature on the control panel died and then the heater completely failed to work.
It's quite possible that my guest has got behing the dashboard and chewed some wires, or, the heater has just failed.
I'd appreciate some pointers on how to start diagnosing the problem and what to look at first. Might just be a fan failure, or, linked to the temperature sensor ??
