Technical Heater Fans

Hi Guys

I need a bit of advice, I used to have a Punto MK2 and it developed a fault where the heating fans would only blow on setting 4 at full speed and it turned out to be the resistor.

I've recently bought a 10 plate Evo and started up the car this morning and put the heating fans up then noticed that the fans were not blowing, I set the fans to setting 4 and they started blowing but will not work on any other setting

Has anyone come across this fault? Is it common? And is it easily fixed?

I've got a GP so I have air conditioning as well. Do you know where the resistor is located?

that's for cars with a fan speed switch.. if you've got climate - then it's more complicated..,
