Technical Heater Control Lighting

I dont often drive my 09 reg Panda at night but I noticed when I had a nocturnal outing recently that the heater controls were not illuminated. Is this standard or could it be a bulb fault? Looking at the console it might be difficult to access. Has anybody else had this problem?

Alternatively

The 3 x Twisty knobs

Turn all 3 clockwise

That's Heat to the Screen and fan 4

But it can go wrong

Don't break the bulb
Don"t push so hard the bulb holder falls out behind the dash


Turns a 5 minuites job into a much larger repair but still no big deal

How to replace Panda heater control lights

Before starting, you'll need a new bulb, and may need a pair of pliers and a soft cloth. There's one bulb per 'pair' of controls (left side or right side). The bulb is 12 volt, 1.2 watt, wedge-ended. To make it easier when putting things back...

I don't bother with the knobs

I just remove the whole surround with the knobs with a plastic ice scraper

We bought the bulbs and I fitted them in the car park in a minute or so

No pliers needed on a 2006 1.1


Like this, however Fiat do tend to change things around
