Headunit wires

I really need some advice about wiring up my headunit, i took out my standard fiat (philips) tape player to fit my new pioneer one and because the new one came with a plug to fit it with all the wires sticking out the back i thought i would have to wire it up myself so i cut off one of the two plugs in order to use the wiring,i then found out that i could have simply bought an adaptor which would have saved me the trouble!Where do i go now?wire it myself?There are wire labeled "ILL" "MUTE" and "ACC"....i havent a clue what i do with these,please help me soon i need my new cd player installed asap! :bang:

right,since you dont have a clue(your words!)rejoin the wires you rather hastily cut and buy an adapter.
the mute wire is for telephone mute so you do nothing with it.
acc will be the power(yelow?)and will be hooked up to the power supply you choose
ill will be to dim the display when you turn the lights on so is connected to a circuit that goes live when the lights are on
