Hi everyone. I'm new to this site. A mechanic was looking at my headlights which come on when ignition is turned on.He found this site and advised me to go on it. So....here I am. I bought my lovely red fiat panda last year (2019). I hadn't noticed the problem until someone was screaming obscenities at my whilst leaning fully out of their driver's window! I can't get hold of fiat customer services - number not recognised on 00800 3428 0000. Can anyone help. Please??xx

Have you tried just ringing 0800 342 800 as that's the normal UK phone length.

If the number doesn't work you could try your nearest main Fiat Dealer and ask them to contact Fiat on your behalf or use the contact form found here:

https://www.fiat.co.uk/contact-us

You can also check to see if your vehicle has any recalls against it here:

https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall

What do you think there a recall on your headlights for?
Because they come on with the ignition?
If so that probably the del/daytime running light section
These have to be on by law with the ignition on if you don't have main headlights turned on on your year of car

Hi Sue :)

Is there a recall?
Look on DVLA recalls site ;)

The FIAT number is centralised.. but yes you need to contact FIAT to get things sorted under Warranty

Most decent dealerships will be happy to help (they make money on Warranty labour)

Alfa. Chrysler..or FIAT whichever dealership is most convenient to you :)

Even if full headlight and not side lights Chris? The lights arm attached to the steering wheel has no effect whatsoever - ig doesn't turn them on or off.

What is the light that is on
Your main Dip beam/full beam?
If one of those two are on constantly it's likely you have a fault with the light switch the turns them on and off

This wouldn't be a recall even if faulty but if the cars less then 3 years old it would be covered by warranty
And for warranty issues you just need to conactt your local dealership you don't need to contact fiat customer service for this
