Mini's more expensive though.I agree it's not the most stylish thing about, but it's a good alternative to the Yaris, has a range of good engines and a 5 year warranty too.
I'd also suggest a test drive in the Mini too, but I guess some people may well object!
Yes, I have.
Have you driven one? They're rather good.
I HAVE....
It was ****e!!!!!
We looked at one for the wife, bought a top spec Honda Jazz instead. Although it may shortly be getting chasnged for a new Nissan Cube.
Was going to say EXACTLY the same thingcool car![]()

I've seen some good deals on Mazda 2s too, so wouldn't rule those out either
Worst. Interior. Ever.
Ok, all cars are rubbish apart from a Fiat 500. The whole lot, Fords, Vauxhalls, Toyotas, Daihatsus, Mazdas, etc etc etc. The OP should either by a 500 or nothing at all.
Unless s/he fancies a Skoda Fabia. They always seem to do well in the satisfaction surveys :yum:

A Honda?? I'll look forward to hearing all those OAP comments again!
Quite liked the new C3 I saw at the stealership the other dayHow about the new Citroen DS3. It is up as a rival to the Mini and 500. Apparently it's " anti retro" according to the ad campaign despite the name, the two tone paint, lots of chrome and painted dash with big round chrome dials. Website is very similar to Fiats with loads of add on options.
No, City car and Supermini are indeed the same class. The mk1 yaris was a supermini, but new Yaris more of a small family car with the Aygo taking over the Supermini possition with the IQ.
I personally would say go for the Yaris. Almost faultless reliability (mums had a mk1 from new. 120k in 9 years and no faults!!). The Yaris will also hold its value alot better, aswell as being alot more universal due to its size.
Jon.

This. If you want a car with bags of character, they look a superb choice IMO. Both them and the Nissan Cube are sort of tempting me away from my 500 a bit, given how many BNW ones are on the road and how rattly my bloody window is getting.
But then the 500 will look great once it's decked on some euro style wheels so I'll probably keep it
