General Have you ordered an Evo?

As I said a while ago I have ordered Flamenco Red Punto Evo Eleganza 1.4, 16 valve with style pack. Garage said it would be built in week 22.

Had call from garage Friday to say it was built, should be here 14th June.
not sure what "here" means, could be Bristol or Nuneaton.

Implied I could get on the 18th June.

Lets hope and be positive.

Regards Ron

Good luck, fingers crossed. (y)

can someone tell me at what stage after ordering the car the dealer gets a delivery date? I ordered mine about 5 weeks ago (after a lot of hastle and messing about when they damaged the one I was meant to be getting) but I spoke to them on Thursday after the finance company took a payment from my bank acc (despite it having been canceled) and he said he couldn't tell me a delivery date.

I ordered mine at the beginning of April (April fools day I think it was!), and about a week later the dealer phoned to say delivery would be around the end of May, early June. Meanwhile the payments from my Panda 100HP kept being taken for April, May and June. I took delivery on 3rd of June, and the dealer readjusted the finance for a new reduced settlement figure for what I owed on the Panda. Any overpayments after settlement get paid back by the finance company - I've had this happen before and it went smoothly. I don't think it's a good idea to cancel the direct debit too quickly as a failed payment might affect your credit record, no matter how valid your reason for cancelling. I got about a weeks notice confirming that the delivery would definately be beginning of June, and arranged a pick up date the week before.

well the after the fiasco with the damaged car the garage assured me the agreement had been canceled and when I phoned Fiat Finance they told me it had been canceled so the payment being taken was their fault. They said they would issue me a refund of that amount. I am paying for my current car so can't afford to pay for 2 cars lol. Anyway I aint paying for a car I don't have.

Anytime I have ordered a new car they always finalise the finance when I go to collect it not at the time of order.

So i've finally got round to taking a few pics of my car, sorry its taken so long!
I'm well pleased with it. Just need to order a usb stick from ebay to tell me how bad a driver i am on the eco-drive system :p

How do you find the Punto compared to the 100hp? I'm thinking of going down the same route as Fiat's current deal on the Evo GP seem very tempting!
When it arrives i will let you know.
Took out a 1.4 Active 8 v for 45 minutes at the stealer, forgotten what suspension was + the other half kept her false teeth. :p
I am going to miss the performance of the 100 hp, and the ability to chuck it through the smallest of gaps. IE. sideways through Asdas car park, thats through the metal bollards. ;)
The Evo should be in the UK today, cant wait.

Nice I was annoyed that I couldnt have my sporting with the Red Dash, would of loved to have had red leather interior instead of black!

Hi guys, this is my first post on the evo section!
I'm looking to upgrade from my 1.2 active grande (first car)!
Fiat are doing pretty decent deals for the evo ATM so I'm semi-tempted, however I find the exterior styling pretty bad (no offence) but the interior looks so nice! Id be looking at 1.4 engine, have you guys got any advice?
Thanks

Easy answer to that one.

Do the PCP deal with a tiny deposit. Get the £2000 deposit contribution and demand 7% off.

GP is good but the Sporting is better!

Put a deposit down on a Renault Sport Clio 200 Cup instead! £999 down and £199 a month. I really wanted the Punto for all the right sensible reasons, plus it looks nice and is well equiped. In the end I just knew I couldn't live with a 1.4 shopping trolley for the next 3.5 years. Just got to put up with a sweaty back (no a/c) and sweaty palms:devil: for 2yrs!!!
