Another problem ive just been made aware of for B&M TomTom owners...

Theres a conflict issue between B&M TomTom & EcoDrive, when both are installed it can cause disconnects & media player issues.

An update to fix this is coming any day now.

Hi Ron,
I ordered mine ages ago, it was due to be built in week 18 and i should be receiving it this Friday, which is the back end of week 21. So i think that the end of June is probably a realistic date that the garage have given you. It will be made in Italy and then shipped to Bristol which takes about a week, then its pot luck as to how long it sits there until it is put on a car transporter. Somebody on here had to endure 3 weeks of their car sitting by the quayside!!
I'm sure it will be worth the wait though

That was me with mine sat there for 3 weeks. It wasn't even they were waiting on a load to go to the same area though as the dealer had 6 cars sat there waiting on delivery. Lets hope things get quicker for those waiting on delivery.

Mine was eventually delivered to the dealer on Monday morning (this week), I had it first thing Tuesday morning which was a nice surprise, so thanks to the dealer for such a quick turn around.

Thanks for replying, end of june looks good then. I have a Punto Dynamic whichs runs out of MOT at the end of june so I hope i don't need to MOT it.

Can you tell me about the tailgate?, does it still have a button in the car to open it, or is it now a button on the tailgate?.

I've not noticed the button on the dash like in the Grande Punto. There's a push button on the tailgate which is integrated into the Fiat logo badge. There's still the boot release button on the key though.

The dash button is only on certain models, on my sporting I don't have one (which is strange) Logo badge on the back does open the boot though.

Not had any issues with blue+me/tomtom Blank, been playing music from the USB/ecodrive key very well just waiting for my iPod adaptor.

my Eleganza doesnt have a dash button either, but i know the lower-end models dont have the button on the boot lid so maybe they have a button on the dash instead.

Must admit I really miss having a button in the car to open the boot, cant open the boot via key while engines running etc, often im sitting in the car listening to radio while waiting for friends usually i'd pop of the boot when i see them now they shout "OPEN THE BOOT!" and i cant cause keys in the ignition & no button in the car, and there no-one seems to realise the badge is a button.

A button on the keyfob is brilliant i use it alot for grocerys etc, but id rather of had the keyfob + inside button, badge one has been used twice so far one to point it out & interior one would of been used atleast 3-4 times a week in my normal routine.

With your EcoDrive being installed, have you noticed your music going back to song #1 on random startups? or over 20-30minute period of driving the B&M just resets - this is what i've got happening atm while playing music from USB stick & dealer showed me this print out he received a couple of days ago so they've put my problems down to that.... Since lastnight i disabled EcoDrive and music seemed to be fine, but that was only 1 journey so nothing conclusive.

Just been and collected the Blue and Me iPod connector (which happily got for free, Big thanks to Glyn Hopkin Fiat Dealership!)

So won't really have the EcoDrive USB in which is a shame! Would be nice to keep an eye on it

You don't need to keep a USB stick in the port for ecoDrive to run. The car can store data in its own memory for a short amount of time (several days iirc) and will just overwrite old data as it saves new. If you remember to plug your ecoDrive-readied USB Stick in regularly, the car will move the data to that for you to transfer to your PC for analysis.

I had a hunch it did that, was sure i was getting days on my ecodrive chart when i didnt have my stick in nice to have it confirmed

I don't think i could bare it if i was able to see mine a week before i could actually get my hands on it! I'm still waiting by the way, i was meant to pick up yesterday but the finance hadn't gone into the dealers account so they couldn't release the car and now i've gone back to work for 4 nights, so its going to be Tuesday now, whats another couple of days i guess when you've already waited 8 weeks

1.4 evo sporting, crossover black (like a reddy purple sparkle to it but black at certain angels), style pack, climate control, colourcoded side door mouldings..... opinions please ?

i love the car and am thinking of buying it with these options. im a sales advisor at glyn hopkin fiat so i no all the spec etc but i like other peoples opinions ...... and i was considering maybe white seems that evry one has the white at the moment, does save you £400 taking the white option though tho

Its Progressive Black, Crossover Black is standard black with silver sparkles, Progressive has the red sparkles (mines progressive )... and luckily, it doesnt turn baby**** brown in the sun, in really direct sunlight while parked in the driveway on occasion its appeared almost bronze but never baby**** brown like i was fearing

It looks really good, and different, its a ****er to clean gets dirty within 24hrs & it shows every mark, but it really does get a good mirror effect when polished up.

And with those extras, sounds about what i'd of gone for if i was going for sporting

Hmm, that makes 2 others going progressive black.... stay away from my colour, i thought progressive black was pretty unique... D'oh! next time im going neon orange with pink spots.
