i think this would be good for more standard cars, such as my SX! as FF is more about all Fiats, rather than how to mod them, and get parts, although this can happen here aswell

places like ClubCento aint gonna put a standard SX on the stand when they got a load of modded Contos to show off

yes they will it just depends what type of show the stand will be at

theres no real need to have a list, just have a free for all when it needs to be decided, best of the fiats that have been put forward will be on stand, limit to 1 model per stand and see how it goes from there

You really need to come along to a Clubcento event if that's how you feel. To be honest, more fuss is made over 899 Cinqs at events because it's rare that the owners are passionate about them

Neither will Fiat forum by Gaz's reply

You will be suprised. The clubs arent all about modding. In BOO we are probably 50/50 for thos that like to mod (reminds me of an ACDC album).

We allow standard cars to come to the modding shows - there is no judging on our behalf. It tends to be the case that those who prefer standard motors dont really want to get involved in the modding shows but they always join us at the auto italia days etc.

Ozric Al is a fine example. A completely standard HGT Bravo. He was on our stand at donnysouth and trax last year basically because he wanted to! As a club member he was very welcome to join us (and brightened up the day with his shirt)

I seem to remember me taking a pic of a HGT engine last year covered in pretty colours and he said, "Here's how one should look" and pointed at his car. There is no need to be ashamed of an unmodded car. Unfortunately, by no joining Clubcento, you won't get to appreciate what an "Owners Club" stands for

This is ridiculous, just as there might be 1 cinq or sei on an FF stand, this doesn't mean someone won't join an owners club!??!

As you well know, people who come on here are always encouraged to join the relevant club, hell, I've even linked to them in their own car section. This is about simply wanting to get the fiatforum name out a bit more and a car show seems the ideal place.

We dont want to steal any of your members, just to promote THIS site... surely this is allowed??

Or are you saying to promote FF, we have to use cars that dont have a club?? We are not a club, just a discussion board... and i really don;t see why everyone has such a problem with this.

And what about looking past Cinqs and Seis, what about the other cars that might like to be at a show? Should these be denied? Surely this is then not fair on them...?

I promise you, us having a stand and limiting it to one model isn't going to rob anyone else of cars from their stand. We would be promoting the clubs whilst there as is always done (and I really wonder if you guys promote people to come here...??) - and it would just be nice to do something community spirit like and get ourselves a bit more known....

Objections.....? :p

Clubcento is not about modded centos at all - you could have your standard SX on stands - Clubcento is a club for all cento owners and enthusiasts (some members don't even own one!). Obviously you're not going to get into Max Power or Donny seen as the point of those types of shows is modification. The vast majority of stand events such as Stanford Hall, Brooklands, See Red, Summer Alfa Day, Gaydon and other AutoItalia events don't care if your car is modified to the hilt or simply standard - the Chairman of Clubcento has standard cinq sporting non-modified!! All Centos are welcome they're all equal in our eyes even our concourse is cut to be completely fair and is not marked on mods.

my reply was taken out of context, but if a modded car show asks for modified cars to be on a stand, a standard cinq sx would not go on

however in a normal show, like an italian one anything goes, the best of the bunch would go on or the people that wanted too

ff wouldnt be selective of there cars, the shows would make them be selective - if there was a limit too the number of cars and stipulations you would want the best to show

Read it again, Ben

I wasn't saying he doesn't want to join. I was saying that by him not experiencing a Clubcento event, how can he come to the conclusion we wouldn't be interested in having him on our stands?

But what you are basically saying then is CC has a monopoly over every cinq/sei out there? Ok, lets make it easier, only people already in CC can come on the stand :p

We don't want to harm anyone, and if this does go ahead, will work with the car clubs who are worried to try and find amicable solutions to all their issues :D

Remember though, at the end of the day, FF does need promotion otherwise WE will die, and seeing as we are a car website.....
