having an FF banner for events so peeps from FF who arent members of a club can go to an event under one banner?
or did we decide against this???
or did we decide against this???

Say we have a FF stand at next year's Donny show and we get 15 cars from her attending. Say for some reason Boo and Clubcento don't have a stand that year but plan to the year after.
So, the year after, will the FF stand go ahead due to the support it had previously, even with Boo and Clubcento there?

I'm all for the Fiat Forum, God knows I spend enough time on here and attend the events etc. but look at who has supported this place and made it what it is - members of Clubcento, Boo and others.
Yes, people have the choice to attend whichever event under whichever club/forum they wish, but if you talk to the individual owner's club officials you will see that they quite often struggle to get a good attendance at shows.
Fine, you say - let's get them all together on one stand and it'll be massive.
Under the FF banner then?
Or under Boo?
Under Clubcento?
Why would people then choose to join their respective owner's club if they see they can get their car on a stand, get into events etc. and have all the benefits associated with club memberships... without paying a penny.
Take me for example, I'm an officer of Clubcento. Say at Donny next year there is a Clubcento stand and a Fiat Forum stand. I know and am good friends with many of you on here, but am a member too of Clubcento. Which stand do I choose?
One argument put forward has been "People should stick with their owner's club" - so does that mean if someone is a member of Clubcento they can't have their car on the FF stand? As has been mentioned, you can't tell anyone which they can and cannot attend with.
Say someone has a Mk2 Punto, a Coupe, a Bravo or whatever but they aren't a member of the owner's club. Are they then welcome on the FF stand? Even though the respective owner's club attends as well?
Say they do attend, but sit on the FF stand. There we go, a public display that you don't need to support the owner's club.
I think the main problem here is the specific Fiat nature of this. There are many other clubs attending shows such as cruise clubs etc - but they're not brand specific so aren't in direct competition quite so much. Cruise clubs etc. seem to be local groups whereas we're national, so the conflict doesn't really come into it there.

Fair comment

So even without FF you struggle to make a show? How would FF attending make a difference even if none of the club cars were not on FF stand you struggle.

No need to have just one stand.

Would need to be discussed and agreed, but all forums I belong to use paid up members (donators) for shows. Have not been on any forum/club where shows/events are free.

Hard choice, but I think your arguements show you would have to support CC which I would expect

No. What happens if CC has only say 5 stand places at a show but 6 cars available FF could need 1 car to fill space surly having the car on show even with FF is the best option.
Say someone has a Mk2 Punto, a Coupe, a Bravo or whatever but they aren't a member of the owner's club. Are they then welcome on the FF stand? Even though the respective owner's club attends as well?
Yes, why not

Who would know what car anyone owned?

Corsa's 3 I know of
Punto's 3 or more
what makes you think that i'm being unreasonable? I understand exactly what you're gettin at and it is a good idea in theory. However, I know exactly what and impact this will make on club membership for Clubcento. Yes Centos aren't the only cars on the forum but at the same time, there are many people that will avoid membership if there is the option to put their car on the forum stand. And lets face it, not many members contribute towards forum fundsPandaPerson said:Gaz why would we u've been the most reasonable non clicque un biasesd understanding club member i have seen since this thread was started
i think you will find i have donated about £50 so farsurfin_fella said:And lets face it, not many members contribute towards forum funds

I think the forum supports the clubs very well and the clubs may not be as popular without it. I certainly wouldn't have been aware of Clubcento otherwise. I'm sure many othe Clubcento and BOO members are in the same position.
