Excuse my ignorance but whats MC11?
He's referring to the colour chart for the mohair sunroofs which have been all the rage recently(y) That's been the preferred option rather than a solid roof, although Adam (Aston Martin) is failing to mention that he has a rather stylish conversion on his selecta involving some hardboard and a lot of silicon:yum:

Yeah so still want to go with the perspex but I'd imagine it would need to be secured in more ways than one to prevent the flapping about. Oh well will wait till it gets back from the mechanics at least... Haven't been able to drive him for a week and I've only owned it 2!

Do you mean like a Britax Coach roof panel or something from a VW camper conversion? You can get them made to order but they are expensive. The original Panda seal should be enough to ensure no water gets in and a simple hinge and strut set up will be easy to fabricate.

If the material has passed its best I'd go for new canvas roof every time. If the frame is rusty I've made a few out of Stainless Steel so that's less of an issue in the future. If it's a security issue you can get a double duck material lined with steel wire mesh that's almost impossible to cut through. There are plenty of options out there.

not a very good pic of it but the dark colour pands here has a perspex roof

Saw one of these in action at the recent Midlands Italia meet... -- possibly the sexiest thing FIAT ever did (well apart from the classic Panda bonnet scoop...)!

The one thing I wish my Stilo had, got a Bravo with skydome, but its only 2 piece like all other Fiat's now are :(

(ok two things, I'll miss power steering too)

No you won't, Panda's don't need PS :p

Ok, I'm used to my lovely Punto with city steering (although never used that feature) and a SkyDome. I've literally just now sold it :D
To a 17 year old, I hope he's like I was and doesn't wreck it... Ah well his car now, I'm sure he'll love it. It'll probably be more powerful than all his friends cars too. (Thats why I bought it when I was 17....)

It's funny: but -- apart from having to drive a manual, when I usually drive automatics (because "I've got this terrible pain in all the diodes down my left side...") -- I was really worried about having no power steering in Godiva (although it's very rare I engage City mode in the Punto...). And yet it was a breeze to steer... -- even for someone in my old and haggard state....

I used it once when I first got my GP, just to try it. I don't like, it feels scarily easy to steer, like I might 'oversteer' into a parked car or something. I don't like it at all!

EDIT: Another thing I'll miss from my GP. Magic brakes that somehow stop the car from 60mph in just 5ft. Nobody knows how but it does.

I technically went from Big Punto to Panda, I miss the brakes and the quietness. And the fact you can pick up radio 2.

Don't listen to radio 2 so that's alright. You'll know where I'm coming from then. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks the brakes are suspiciously strong. I'm convinced they've accidentally put some Ferrari disks and calipers under there....

They're amazing. The Pandas aren't, sometimes I wish I had a carrier bag parachute.

More importantly, are you getting your Panda within the next 6 days? :p

My pillar mounted aerial picks up Radio 2 and more - even on a £35 stereo :D

It also doubles as a deep sea fishing rod

I get it, but it's not a strong signal. :(
