Hi everyone!

Has anyone fitted or got any experience with the Magneti Marelli central exhaust pipe? (just found out I can’t post a link as I haven’t done more than 5 posts. Search ebay for Sport Tuning Central Exhaust Pipe Fits Fiat 500 Panda 1.4L 16V 100 HP 2003-2012).

I know it gets rid of the cat :) Does it give any increase in power / performance and how loud does it get if you’re still running the standard back box?

I’m currently enjoying a grey, 57 plate Panda 100hp and have been for about 7 months. I’ve done the cooperman induction mod, white indicators in the front lights and changed the rear shocks to non-adjustable Koni’s to stop the constant jiggling!

Still loads of jobs to do, but waiting for the weather to improve...

Any thoughts on the straight through exhaust are very welcome!!!

I have just fitted one of these to my 100hp the other day and have retained my standard back box. It replaces the centre silencer but not the cat which I beleive is up near the manifold.
Noise wise it does make it louder but in my opinion its not over the top. Mine has only been fitted a couple of weeks so im still getting used to it but can't say I've really noticed any significant improvement in performance. It does however give the exhaust note a bit more character and overall im very pleased with it. There are one or two vids of cars with this mod on YouTube but I must admit they sound more raspy than mine does.

Had one on mine for a couple of months now with the Ulter sport back box, it sounds quite nice at idle...a bit like a Scooby but above 3000rpm it sounds epic!! , I've also derestricted the intake which I think helps.

The little plastic labyrinth thing to quiet the intake sound, also blocked up the voids in the airbox.
I might get a silicon intake pipe and cone filter in the summer.

Was it easy to fit yourself?

I found it fairly easy to do mainly because my original system was replaced with a standard one only about a year ago so the bolts weren't seized. It was fiddly mainly as I did it using one set of ramps so could only lift one end at a time so had to move the car about a bit to get to the front and back connections.
It is probably one of the most satisying jobs I have done on a car.

Think I might get a garage to fit it as I don't have ramps and probably missing the correct spanner. The right tool for the job...

Thanks for the reply.

That does sound like a pain in the Crown jewels. I'd probably spend an entire day mucking about with it... and then have to take it to the local garage.

I would have done the same if I didnt know everything had been renewed fairly recently.

I also took the precaution of smearing all the bolts with copper grease this time. Hopefully it will make the job easier to do in the future if I decide to do somthing else. I will probably go the whole hog and end up doing the back box soon, I think im addicted:)
