If you ever feel like pulling the auction and giving it away for free (incl shipping to Norway) let me know

if I win the lottery tomorrow, its yours - the jackpot that is, not a tenner!

I would hope you would get at least £500 for it, the only downside for potenial purchasers is that it is black. Some people want matching colour hardtops.

Saying that, you are not limited to one colour.

BarchettaaParts.com have one for sale at €1000 here

Not that I wish to interfer with your sale.

Strange bidding going down on that one. The phrase 'trotting' comes to mind...if you look at the bidder history the bidders have little or no history of bidding on car parts..wtf would they want a Barchetta lid for??? Massive activity in the first 24 hrs to bring the price up to the reserve of €500 then nothing...

:chin: I noticed that - very odd........

I had a mate who tried to sell a set of wheels off his Esprit on eBay, had everyone in the office bid on them in the first couple of days then again a day before the auction finished - in the end he sold them for well over the odds!

I think that goes on far more than people realise. The best thing to do when buying is really just to have a fixed amount that you'd pay in mind and don't go a penny over it.

Having said that I didn't quite take my own advice buying my B on eBay... I can remember frenziedly adding £50 on to my bid with about a minute to go, getting outbid, same again and again, then finally winning it for about £200 more than I'd bid for it just a minute previously!

Totally agree, I follow a few simple rules, never bid until the last few mins, set a budget and stick to it, always check out the sellers feedback and once you have won always send a nice eMail/PM to the seller with contact details just in case.......

I can assure you all there is nothing dodgy going on on the auction guys, that's not my style and frankly unecessary on this item. You may be interested to know there are 41 people watching this item.

I don't know any of the bidders involved in the auction, there is no collusion and frankly I am P****d off at the inference.

Nick, not a pop at you sir!!

Conversation that spawned from the fact that there had been some 'odd' behaviour to begin with on your item! - that is not to say, or infer, that you had any part to do with it!!

Sorry if the post(s) implied you had in some way 'rigged' your auction, that is not what I was getting at..................
