Technical Hard brakes

Hi everyone, I have a 2006 Scudo which failed Mot on brake pipes. I've replaced the dodgy ones and bled the system no problem. Since then I have an intermittent fault, most of the time the brakes feel fine, exactly as they were before the change of brake pipes,although now I sometimes have a hard pedal, just as if the servo is not working, then goes back to normal again! Anyone had this before?? Help and advice needed please

At 12 years old its possible the vac pump is struggling

I've had that in past. Scary if you're driving it. Servo was faulty.
