It hit 100,000 miles this morning.
I have a picture to prove it. :slayer:

Will post it tonight.

Happy birthday my lovely little Uno! I hope you have many more thousands of miles left in you. :D

An Uno with 50k miles?
I think that makes you a great dad! :D

No, it makes me the lucky new owner! I only got her in January (with under 49,000 on the clock).

Its the little old lady I bought her from who was a good parent!

I phoned her today funnily enough, I called her to warn her to NEVER take a car back to the garage that was ripping her off for years...

How does £185 a service sound? a tad high? well that was the estimated cost of the service, the final bill on the 9th of June 08 was £521.42....

During that service they were suposed to have changed the NSF wishbone(@ £102), strangely enough, thats the only thing it failed on when I MOTed it a couple of weeks ago (a year after they `changed` it)... & it looked like the original one...

Oh, & on the 24th of April 2008, 2 & a half months before that service, they hit her for £302.73 for disks & pads + rear wheel cylinders (but strangely, no rear shoes)....

£824 on maintainance in 3 months on a 1990 Uno 60... that must be some kind of record...

Crap :(
Glad you told her.

I'm quite lucky, I trust my local garage, they won't do any work or buy anything if they find further problems, without checking with you first.
They seem to know what they are doing and are all friendly guys.

Well according to the recept, she authorised all the work.

The funny thing is, theres a Fiat dealer right next to this service centre, you have to drive across the front of the dealer to get into the car park, but I`ll bet you the lady thought "I`m not going to take it into the Fiat dealer because they`ll charge the earth"....

I dont think they would have in this case!

If you find someone you can trust, stick with them! (after varifying the prices are fair with someone in the know!).
