I already mentioned this in antother thread but not as a technical question.
I bought a seicento last tuesday.
Everything was fine during testing and stuf.
Started the engine a couple of times, cold and warm, no problems.
No,
the starter hangs when I start the car.
I turn the ignition key to run the starter.
When the engine starts I put it back to the contact6 position.
The starter keeps running
Even when I turn of the engine and pull out the key it keep runnning until the main 40A fuse gets fried.
This happens once.
Last thursday the cold start was good.
But about 20 mins later I started the car to set it on a bridge and it hanged again.
last night I started the car and starter hanged (cold start).
Removed the key but kept running.
After it stopped the fuse was'nt fried and I tried again. Started without the problem.
Also a couple of hours later no probs.
The old owner told me the starter has been replaced twice and the ignition barrel has been replaced last week.
He has'nt experienced the problem since.
But now I do!!!:bang:
How can I test this stuff without destroying anything?
The is a starterblockage alarms system somewhere underneath the dash and I think that can cause it.
Could that be so?
