Technical ? ..Handbrake button

[Normal rules]

Has disappeared into handbrake lever for some reason.

Any Ideas why?

Broken spring? the outer cover moved foward? hold it tight with one hand, then hit your hand back (need to do that with the Audi regurlarly) any marks at the back where it used to be?
does the button pull out? maybe useing a bit of blue tack or something, chewing gum if your desperate

I'd just get a "new" handbrake from a scrappy.

They don't usually go wrong unless subjected to abuse/idiocy.

Mine did this after a weekend of handbrake turns and abuse, all that happened is the rubbery plastic 'grip' had slowly worked its way up the handle, effectively making the button disappear inside it. I was able to slide it back down with a bit of effort.

i done that before too haha. Get some good tape, tape the button down .

My plastic grip/handle came off hears ago and refused to stay on.
So I junked it and wrapped the handle with self-amalgamating tape.
Wouldn't pass a concourse competition, but then the rest of the car wouldn't either!!
