Styling Halfords rant...

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

i asked my local trusty garage if ever got alloys how much would the charge (switching tyres over to new alloys) £12 per tyre thats x4 = £48 then tracking on top would be i think its like £25 so in total = £73:D

on other hand yours! £60 + £50 = £110(n)

you would of been better off doing bargain hunting like most of us do on here;)

Oh dear! Serves me right for straying from my trustworthy garage (n)

Return on not fit for Purpose Basis,

Stand your ground, dont take any B/S from them,
they shouid of made sure these where compatible and bolt straight on with no
hastle or have affect on safety,

you can get alloys shipped for 30quid ish,
Most punto breakers will ship wheels out dont be afraid to ask the sellers on ebay (y)

It seems I've lost the receipt as well to add to the problems!

Think I'm going to wait and see if these longer bolts help with the current wheels when they arrive on Monday, until then the car stays on the drive.

The receipt must be somewhere, if the longer bolts don't improve the situation halfords will be getting a ear full!

:nono:

good luck getting a refund, no receipt no refund, sucks i know but thats how it goes!:D

Not quite right.

You may require proof of purchase.

A receipt is the most common form.

A bank statement showing purchase would equally suffice.

If you lack those, tell the store manager what you bought, when, and they can check their records.

tbh its always best to pay for stuff on a credit/debit card, for these exact reasons, cause some of us do tend to either throw away receipts after a time or misplace them unfortunately...but paying on a card, as atom rightly so, is good enough prove you purchased it from them on that date blah blah etc. then just refund you back on that card and everyones happy!:D

in my day to day life i have no need for a credit card:) i earn enough to buy my own goods rather than using banks money(y)

of course, thats just me for everyone else well i don't know!:D

if you have your own money is the only time too have a credit card. you get free insurance on every thing* ask ChrisUK . he bought a car using one, car was naff dealer didn't sort it, credit card company gave him all his money back and he got to keep the car.
you just use the card for the perks and pay it off straight away.

* some times it has to cost over 100 quid
