Does anyone use halfords coolant? or is there better stuff out there that can be used, if so what would you recomend?

ive used halfords anti-freeze in pretty much all the cars
the red-ish orange color makes it easy to find any leaks and help identify which fluid has leaked

I use the Halfords Advanced Coolant in my Cinq.

what mixture should be used? I was told to just chuck a bottle or 2 in then top rest up with water, but tbh i'd rather get more expert opinions and do the job properly, specially as the cooling system on these are temperemental lol
Depends what you get, if you get the ready mixed stuff (which comes in a big 5l bottle) just use it as it comes, if you get the smaller bottles of the concentrated stuff then follow the directions on the bottle.

I get the smaller stuff and that says refer to manual, sadly i dont have a sei manual

I think the handbook is in the downloads section. But unless you're living somewhere much colder than Ming, 50/50 will be fine. If not a long life type, replace after 2 years.

Does it matter what colour you get if you have drained it and are doing a service. Because as far as I can tell it doesn't matter which colour you put in. I will be buying ready mixed as it will be far easier
I switched colours from blue to orange Halfords advanced recently. However I wasn't able to fully flush out the blue stuff left in the heater matrix so it's slightly contaminated.
Since I made the switch most of the brown gummy stuff on the inside of the header tank seems to have disappeared...

Some coolants are specified for certain makes by colour... Read the bottle.

Yea the blue stuff is for cars up to 1998, then the pinky orange stuff is for stuff from 1998 onwards. Guy at halfords said mine is akward by being a 1998 so just recomended pink stuff lol
Mine is a 1994 and the red coolant has been fine in that....
The age is largely irrelevant, but there are cars that should not use the red stuff.
