This has been covered extensively on hacking sites for the last few years the most dangerous issue is being able to take control of the abs stability control systems meaning you could in affect lock the brakes on one wheel at a predefined speed in order to cause an accident or stop the brakes working.

New electric steering systems are also vulnerable to attract, the whole remote back is only really relevant to cars linked to the cellular network which most aren't,

As long as you don't decide to connect your car to a wireless network you'll be alright, if you think you've been hacked look for a bloke running alongside with a laptop or a really long cable trailing behind.
