General Guys need some advice on distributer replacement...

Ok decided to tackle my periodic screaming distributer bearings with a new/ well used distributer the last owner kindly gave me. Thing is the one fitted on the car is a 50a and the one i am about to fit is 45a. Will there be much noticeable difference in output?

Hopefully when i have removed the dist will change the thermostat, well it makes sense easy access. Any tips would be great.

Managed to fit my new distributer today, so hopefully no more unexpected screeching!!

Managed to undo the bottom distributer securing bolt from under the car. No dramas in fitting and now she runs nice and smooth.

Plans for tomorrow include new gearbox oil. looking forward to this one, made such a difference to my old valdisere when i changed it.

Before you rush to change gearbox oil check inner drive shaft boots to confirm they are dry, nothing worse than oil change and you the find a faulty boot and oil has to go down the pan
