Hi, need some spraying advice mainly with the wet and dry preparation stage.

I bought some headlight washer jets off a fellow boo member 'furry'. He said he'd spray them for an extra few £££'s only to recieve them with the worst paint finish ever. Waste of money. Furry if your reading this can you please send me the other bracket for the other washer jet as you only sent one. Sent you a few emails but no response. Thanks.

Therefore i now need to rub them back down and respray them. Bearing in mind they where already painted by fiat then by furry, if i rub them down to the original colour and aslong as they are matt, will that be good enough to get the paint to key in. Only problem is i have run out of wet and dry papers, whats the best grade to use. Obviously course to rub down blemishes and fine to get a smooth finish.

With them being painted i won't need primer. I already have laquer. Just need to find a good place for getting the paint and for them to make me an aerosol can. Any ideas, halfords any good?

Cheers.

if u use some 400 grades just to get it flat. them 800 to get it smooth, then spray them smooth them again with 800 and then spray again very lightly.

halfords is pretty good for airosol cans.

lack of email were cos i am very busy my world doesnt evolve arround you!

in regards to the spraying you are well over eggsagerating the truth they werent bad at all waste of money my arse you should grow up lad

Im not wanting to turn this into a slanging match, would prefer to keep this to email but, i too am also a very busy person but still make time for people, whether im doing them a favor or vice versa.

In regards to your painting skills, i recon you should open your eyes when painting. Anyone can go spraying a paint can, i could of got a better finish with a paint brush, its the finish thats important, your finish was to put it nicely, s**t. Ever heard of an antistatic cloth aswell? All i can say is lack of preperation too heavy with the paint and way too much laquer. God knows why it was so bad, I gave you enough time to do it.

Anyone here who wants anything painting i suggest you dont ask furry. Also when you buy something off him make sure he sends it all aswell, perhaps even before you pay. I lost out a few quid by having a shabby paint job and a mounting bracket missing due to his incompetence and lack of honesty. I now need to hunt one down and spend more money.
