Ouch a crashed DB5 is an expensive mistake to make, just looked it up and the damage is very severe but given the value of these now I suspect it will be repaired and find its way back to the road eventually
I'm sure the car will be rebuilt, I just hope the owners four year old son is OK after being in a car hit by an Astra. - The shame!
That could have been a process of elimination for me as I had an Audi 200E for a while years ago, and I'm pretty certain all sorts of VAG products had the same door handles......Audi 80, 90, 100, 200, Quatro, Golf, Jetta, Passat.Correct!
I was at the scene this afternoon as the poor thing was being taken away. It had been travelling along the A538 towards Wilmslow when a red Astra emerged from the left and caught the Aston on the N/S/F wing pushing it into a traffic light pole.A very sad photo (the panels may not be in the right place
The collision took place at a set of traffic lights, so one of the cars went through on red, but I don't know which. A GMP spokesman issued a statement that the car would be written off. Ha! Even if they'd taken it away in cardboard boxes it still wouldn't have been a write off.
The Astra was being taken away as I got there and it was clear that its O/S/F wing had contacted the DB5 and the front wheel on that side was crippled under as well.
Think there's more chance of the Vauxhall being written off than the DB, especially as they seem to be going for anywhere from £500,000 to £950,000.
