General GSR induction kits - a word of warning...

thats the trofeo setup isnt it?? so i presume its prity good.

Im sure its not the kit some guy made up, there a different shape
Whats going on in that engine bay??? Why can I see the plug lead tops in front. Or am I being thick????

From time to time I have a wee look at the FF. My first forum & its times like this I remember why it can be very entertaining. Bit off topic but I remember back in the 60s & part of 70s there wasn't really such a thing as a car moder, just some one who tinkered about with the engine & looked for more power & were considered anoraks..:D Money was scarce & to be honest some didn't really know what they were doing:eek: Today is a totally different story helped along with amounts of cash the young team have nowadays. I am quite surprised the amounts of money some are willing to fork out on things for their pride&joy. The gsr kit certainly has its followers & that I can understand. Ive been around a bit & I'm certainly not going to slate the kit. On a purely personal choice for the best part of £200 I can think of other things I could do with my cash. I don't doubt for one minute you will get a few more ponies, but at this stage on a car with a wee engine it really pound for buck not worth it. I can hear some now" but it is" Fair do s, that's your choice. There are some young guys on here who are well up on knowledge of how the internal combustion engine works & I'm not being patronising. Ive learned a lot about Fiats in general on here & some wee tips were very handy.

One last note keep up the good work & Merry Christmas everyone....

Hi everyone,
I have had exactly the same experience, ordering a GSR induction kit via CPH (Peter Hoffman) on performance fiat and despite regular email contact BEFORE payment, he hasnt sent my induction kit or replied to my numerous emails over the past 9 weeks.

One of the administrators responded saying they think he moved to India. Cover story or truth, can't be sure.

I'm contacting the police about this, although I'm fearful that it's a lost cause. Do not deal with Peter Hoffman or GSR induction suppliers unless you are 100% sure they are legitimate and trustworthy.

Peter has moved/is moving to India; it's not a cover story. The last post on this thread here - http://forums.puntomk2.co.uk/showth...ion-Kits-can-now-be-purchased-online&p=522963 should hopefully help. It could explain the 9 weeks of no contact...

what makes you think a man that cant even read his emails from another country can write map files?

Because am sure Dan had a quote from him before. And he used to able to write map files for the cinq sporting. Well according to his website he can.

Now back to my question, anyone know any other tuners that can do it ?

I finally received my induction kit this week, having ordered it and paid for it in March. I'm really pleased with it and thought it only fair to let people know having previously posted 'a word of warning'

Still can't be sure why Peter didn't respond to my emails but still, all's good now it's here
