Removed my induction kit from the HP this weekend to remove winter crud etc - filter sitting happily in the sun drying until dog thought it was a new toy. Now have several puncture holes straight through it :( Can anyone advise as to where I can get a suitable replacement ? Have put original airbox back on temporarily but would like to refit the GSR asap.

A nasty generic filter made in China could either strangle your engine by seriously reducing airflow or fail to filter properly and allow all sorts of muck into the engine.
I would definitely go for the best branded filter you can find.
Mind you, I do rather like the "very rare" pink filters.:)

Done a bit more digging - has anyone had experience of the Quikshift stainless steel filters ? Seems like quite an outlay (£50 vs £15) but seems like an attractive proposition for the long term considering no rust and no oiling required ?

GSR one is made in Taiwan..:)

Available from Maccess auto parts stores if you got an account..;)

Avoid stainless like the plague. They don't have the filtering capacity of conventional types of air filters.

I would always go for a branded filter as it's a known quantity.. eg; K&N.
