I've had a new window motor fitted everything works fine until the window goes back up. I've looked at the window glass and their is a small green piece of plastic on the inner window in the seal that seems to be impeding the window function. I've asked the person who fitted it what this is and I've been told it's a runner? But it's stopping the window going back up properly and I'm worried this will effect the new motor and I don't want it damaging it and need replacing again. I'm not very technical sorry.

Yep, hard to tell from photo, but looks like clip is correctly attached to window but window is not seated properly in the runner. Fairly simple fix, find the spot where it's got the most free play and ease the clip back into the runner.
But...
It could also be the wrong-shaped clip (if it was replaced) or something else completely such as wrongly assembled lower side rail, (which is a separate plastic part inside the door which screws in above and below the door lock mechanism,) which would need careful dismantling to investigate to avoid a "sudden disassembly" of the glass due to it being bent out of shape
Apologies for the rubbish pictures. First one shows the fixings for the lower rail (topmost and bottom TORX bolts)
Second one is trying to show how far inside the side rail the clip should be. It's the almost invisible white blur, so mush further in than the green one in your photo.
