I finally got the GSR 285 camshaft in and running. But i'm not sure if its right! On idle it burbles alot and sounds really rough, i know more aggressive camshaft will do that but i didnt think this much! Also the power seems to die after 5000revs, which is the opposite of what i'd expect!

Rest of my setup is Mckrick chip, gsr induction, superprint backbox.

Was thinking it might need a remap, i know it's recommended but thought it would still run better than this. I also thought maybe the timing could be slightly out so i advanced it a nothch on the belt and it didnt run, then i put it back a notch and didnt run either, so the one in the middle is the best so i think the timing is right.

Any thoughts?

Fitted to 0.3 inlet and 0.4 exhaust as Peter suggested.

What you suggest for the inlet? You mean like porting? Or something more serious like bigger injector? I'm saving up for an exhaust manifold just now!

try a ported uno inlet mani, with a 40mm tb, onto a skimmed and ported head.

I had a C&B280 and it ran fine with the standard exhaust and TB. When i put it in my engine it came on power at around 4000rpm.

How much lift does your cam give, i guess its just a regrind?
 
supplier should be giving tech support on this item, you cannot just fit such a spec cam in isolation

Before you start your silly campaign again get your facts right. The cam was not supplied to me to the OP. He bought it second hand. He hasn't contacted me about fitting it.

Unlike you I have supplied the missing bits to your customers when you supplied them falf a GSR induction kit, where you used the other bits to make your own kit. These kits you even never paid me for.

So, you better just shut up now before you get me going, which will then become legally uncomfortable for you.
