Grinding Noise From Front Wheels???

Hi all.

Hope someone can help, whilst driving I've noticed a droning noise coming from somewhere (not sure where though!) I presumed it was the wheel bearings but I've just jacked it up and spun the rear wheels - no noise at all,
spun the front and I can hear grinding coming from the break pad area. I had new pads fitted 2 weeks ago so it cant be that. Could it be the disc itself (looks ok) or is that the sound you'd expect from front wheel bearing being shot?

Maybe they fitted the pads wrong?? or it can be the backing plate/shield touching against the disc.

Take the wheel off, pop the pads out and spin it again. Then you will know if its the pads , or not.

It could be the caliper which is not releasing fully so there is pressure on the pads all the time. I had a similar problem last year.

As the good man says, take off the wheel, pads out and see what's what.
