hi everyone,

just wanted to say hi and ive been admiring a lot of the members cinqs and seicentos some cool cars on here.

well ive recently just purchased my first seicento sporting abarth mainly at first to use as a winter car as my other car i only use in the good weather and summer its a mk1 golf cabrio which is so clean under neath that you could eat of the inside of its wheelarches.

ive always liked the little fiat and even recall sitting in them at the motor show saying one day i will buy one.

well my mate bought the one thats seen on BBC RIVER CITY he plays the postman so got a good deal on it from the production company and after being in his fiat i though ok time to get one such fun and bloomin quick for what they are.

so i got one via gumtree from a chap in irvine for about 480 quid with long tax 4 months tax and has had a fair few quid spent on it.

theres a few jobs needing done mainly is got an over heating problem we have checked the usual headgasket etc ( it had a new one under 7k ago plus timing belt) so at least its not that its either needing a new rad a heater matrix and a good flush possible even a thermostat ) but i hadnt realized how little room there is to see anything or work on them ) my mk1 golk engine bay is so so easy to work on its a pleasure to do anything to it.

so rather than faff about can anyone recommend a good Cheap fiat garage in the glasgow paisley area.i take my golf to a vw independant but i always feel its better to go to someone that knows the cars .cars exhaust is needing a repair too plus a gearbox oil change as 2nd gears not easy when the cars cold.

other than a few niggles ive not had as much fun driving a small as this car since i had my very quick modded 205.

i know cars inside out so always know what to do to them but no longer have garage access so doing work on a busy main road is errr not good plus i'm getting too old:cry:

 welcome to here

Quite a few members in your area so maybe a driveway you can use - can't help you with garages. Hope you enjoy your new cento-life ;)

thanks dude for your reply its most appreciated.

a mate of mine called ross thomson may have been a big forum user at some stage too he was big into punto gt turbos .now a gt turbo seicento that would be fun.

its been done, but the engine is an old design and too heavy for a cento really.. Lots of really fast cinqs and seis on here. I have a 1.1 8v high boost turbo myself but its by no means the fastest on here (not even close lol). Lots of them are more impressive than my car in spec's side of things. I got a PGT as well, what can i say - i'm a bit fiat crazy... and greedy lol

hey am also in Glasgow, in the newton mearns area :D!!! Depends on what kinda a work you are wanting done may able to lend a hand. The local cento master is Rallycinq, am sure he'll be posting here soon!

As for garage to recommend, i don't have any either, i do nearly all the work my self( apart from welding)
