Although I did notice massive turbo lag below 2000rpm, could be a symptoms of a duff egr? Above 2k she flies

Just lag, once I'm up to around 2.2k ish the turbo kicks in

Did you say it's been sat up for a while?
Maybe it just needs a long fast run to clear everything out? If not it'd be an excuse to go for a spirited drive

Yeah it's not really moved for best part if a year really, I will run it again this weekend and see how it goes
Could just need using then. As said earlier stick some injector cleaner through and give it a good booting.

Decided to stick a new egr on this afternoon and....it's a different car!! Boosts as it should do now, plenty of low down torque, no smoke! Well happy!
Old egr wasn't that cruded up but it looked like it was stuck closed so I think that was the problem. The soot inside the old one didn't look disturbed where you think it would be with the valve opening and closing.
Anyway all sorted! ?

Update!
Done over 100 miles this weekend, no warning lights or problems. Power is still good, that low end torque is addictive! Car was looking good in the sun, the orange certainly gets some looks! ?
