Right, I aquired the standard factory fit subwoofer from Ed, and Im having some "teething" problems with the wiring on it. Ive got all the correct leads ran from the factory head unit, and are now in the boot :) but, since the car doesnt have the standard connector, I need to find some way of connecting the wires to the pins on the subwoofer, it looks like this:

Ive tried mini spade connectors, but they are too weak and create an intermittant connection. Has anyone got a solution for this?

Thanks :D

I take it you need the male end from the sub?

Try fiat dealer, something like that can't be too expensive.

Does the sub just have blank wiring?

I need the female end of the plug. The amp is just hooked up by pins straight to the circuit board, so theres no wires to tap into :(

Will ask at the dealer this week, but i think the connector will be pricey....

i was just gonna suggest the female end of the plug matey! Although i'd imagine with fiat its like the covers for the headlights...only comes with the lights in the first place!!! :(

Do spade connectors not work if once you slide the females over the connections you can sort of crimp them over the connectors? Might hold them on abit more steadily? Or if you could crimp the female ends onto the connectors then the male ones would ovbiously work better but otherwise it's a tough one...!

Hi Adamcote,

I know this is a response to a posting you made AGES ago...but did you ever manage to fit that Fiat Sub properly? If so, how did you do it, as I too would like the proper fiat subwoofer rather than something under a seat, etc....
Any pointers you can offer???
