My Frustrated Panda Life ④ Rear Seat Modification This time, I want to customize it in a balanced way while maintaining comfort and without any excessive weight reduction or heavy maintenance. ...I thought I'd start off calmly, but...
There's something that's bothering me no matter what.
The back seat is cramped. It's too cramped. You can't get your legs in, the ceiling is too close, and the back seat is too upright, making it difficult to sit upright. Is this really just for kids?
The catalogue photos are definitely lies. They've moved the front seats farther apart to hide the fact that it's actually that spacious (lol). There's no way it's that spacious (lol). I can't stand it, so I want to do something about it, even if it means forcing it. I'll move the entire rear seat backwards. I don't mind sacrificing some luggage space. My goal is 2cm.
The interiors of this type of car are the embodiment of extreme cost cutting, so they have a fairly simple structure and are easy to modify.
I got so worked up that I forgot to take a before photo. I modified the fixing bracket a little to offset the entire seat by about 2cm, and also tilted the back seat a little before reinstalling it.
I won't go into details, but it's strong enough.
It's only 2cm, but it's still 2cm. I can sit much more comfortably now than before the adjustment, so I'm happy with it.
I also moved the passenger seat a little lower. This was more difficult to modify. It all worked out in the end. It's such a joy to customize it to your liking.
