That photo is fantastic. :D I might have a go myself if I can find a dark blue new Panda.
Edit: Oh dear. Poor Panda!

Yeah cause your car is the same colour as my Selecta (As)BO and I've seen loads of Novo Pandas in that blue. You could have some fun if you got a silver/blue silver/blue combo!

Thanks for the support, Alan has suggested that this is Juppys way of cryin off with a sick note......

Ah no Jim! That's typical! What about Bo? Can you not take him? I'm not sure if that pump will fit as I've no real experience with 4X4s.
Really wanted to take one of the soft tops with us thou as the weather is scortchin in the south east right now.

You had to replace your pump not so long ago? I'll take it that it's in the tank rather than mechanical?

I've managed to find this on the black panda

It looks the same base but the pipes are in slightly differnt places

Juppy is 87 and the black panda is 91

Before I do a 50 mile round trip anyone any idea if it'll work?

To be honest, I don't know, but I'd be surprised if it didn't work providing that:

they are both "FIRE" engines.
both have the same number of pipes.
and you put the tubes on the pipes in the same position from the top down.

allso, maybe take the "pin" which drives the pump with you off the old CL as the reach might be different.

Best of luck

Thanks for looking at that john,

Yes, there both fire engines and both have 3 pipes

The only difference is that Juppy's pump can be taken apart for cleaning and the one of he black cl is a sealed unit.

Thanks for letting me know about the rod, I'd never of thought of that (y)

There is a possibility - I'm sure you'll have looked carefully enough - that the feed (top) pipe has perished/fatigued underneath, just behind the jubilee clip. It leaks badly when you rev the engine, but is held almost closed at idle.

Give my condolances to the bear.

It fits! (thou it did need the new pin, ta John! (y) )

but the windscreen washers have just packed in....

(honest, I'm not making this up just to make it more interesting!!!!)

I've swapped the leads to the motors and it seems to be the motors as the switches work the rear pump ok

Now, (I'm going to go find the manual again but just incase) can the motors be swapped or would it be easier to swap the whole tank/pump combo from the black CL.

Fred is a little happier now we're home but it was the copper tube parts that stick out of the pump, there was a (big) crack where it joined the main body of the pump.

Jim, I think it would be easier to swap the lot over. This Panda has it in for you!

Right, I'm off to go another 3 rounds with Juppy (he's had it in for me since I got him. Its like that Steven King film 'Christine' except instead of chasing me round trying to run me over he's trying to kill me financally!)

So you gonna join the 4x4 club?

Funny 'HAHA' or funny 'dont leave him alone with the cat?'

?

Jim

Probably both ;) You would have my poor cat reading up on Fiats, but i did mean it in a "haha" sense :)

See Steve can genuinely be funny but i'd definitely not trust him with my cat!
