I know its a long way off but is anyone planning on going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year (11th - 13th July)?

Ticket prices are a bit high at £30 for Friday and £47 for Saturday or Sunday but it is the one motoring event in the calendar that I never miss, tell a lie I have missed one since they started in '93.

For those that have not been its a great place to see some of the rarest and fastest cars in the world as well as some of the most revered motoring personalities. You can get up close and personal with the F1 crews in the PIT area and there are usually a lot of static displays and trade stands, the centre attraction is a hill climb along a narrow and winding track that snakes its way through the grounds or Lord March's 'gaff. Last year the weather was really awful which made for a bit of a poo day but when the sun it out it cannot be beaten!!

There is something there for everyone so I was wondering if anyone was planning on attending, if so shall we try to organise a 'convoy' to Goodwood and stop for a curry in Midhurst on the way back????? I would suggest the Sunday as its usually the best day when the F1 starts etc show up...........

Here are a couple of piccies from the past couple of years for a taster...........

Members of my family go each year but it seemed a bit crowded and expensive compared to Schloss Dyke, so not for me this year. One day.....
