I have been quiet the last few weeks as I had to make the ultimate decision.

Im sorry to say my B went to her new home today. It was a hard choice but she has gone to a good home. Alan you will be pleased to hear it is a fellow policeman although the traffic variant. I even delivered the car to him to have a little more time with her. I have passed on the forum detail to him and hope if he joins you will give him the same welcome I received along with all the helpful advice that you all have in abundance.

I wont go away totally but will now have to sit in the sidelines with alan while you lot rub it in lol:mad: If things change next year I may buy a fixeruper and start again but as everyone is feeling at the moment money is just to scarce.

Thanks again to all

Watty

Sorry to hear that but this wretched downturn will not last forever and when it is over you can get another B. Good luck.

Watty sorry to see your B on Ebay , i hope you become a proud owner again someday , If Carol is still xmas shopping on the 20th dec , your welcome as a passenger on Steves xmas run, just gives us a pm or buzz

I know how you feel.. I sold my bee last week. Luckily she stays in my home town, so I get to see her in the summer. :) A hard choice to make, but I feel I made the right choice. Now I can concentrate on prepping my Uno 85 for racing. :)

Thanks for all the replies guys I have a lump in my throat:cry:
I promise I wont buy an orange one if I get another:rolleyes:. Dont get me wrong we are not struggling or destitute but things are tight as are for all. It just didnt seem right when we were cutting back on everything to have what was the second love of my life sitting in the drive using money for no reason. I now plan on using some of the money to get my hgv licence to open up a few more avenues, with the possibilty of moving to Oz or Canada later on.I will still be on the site as much as I can so you wont be getting rid of me.

I know what you mean, I have not worked since August and things are a bit tight for us at the moment - if the b were a second car we would probably look to move it on and buy another one once I am in a contract again, as it is we have to have 2 cars so she is going nowhere for the time being!

As with your situation we are not destitute but we are eating into the savings that it has taken 10 years to accumilate........ :(

Were kind of in a slightly worse position at the mo with the Mrs leaving her job and virtually all our savings gone on this years horror's. However we'll get by, we always do.

I've decided that once things settle I'm going to take my PPL(H) licence for helicopters and when I retire go for the CPL(H) for commercial work as I retire at 54. It could be a tricky move but the additional 30k ish I'll need when I retire will be a smallish percentage but at the mo well out of my league

Sorry you've sold your car, Watty! Hope things work out okay for you and that you take up Ricky's offer of a ride to the Christmas lunch(y) See ya there!

Sorry to hear that man.. I hope things go well & u get another B in the near future.. I miss mine aswell, the drive of a lifetime..
