Could someone tell me the difference between the Fiat "Gold" service and the much more expensive three year service?

I can't find details of the differences beyond a basic menu - and there doesn't seem to be anything obvious.

Hmm, no answers - so hopefully I can help someone else.

Dealer tells me that there is no difference (aside from access to "free" loan car and car wash and air con re-charge as appropriate).

The Fiat "gold" service is a time limited offer for cars over 4 years old i.e. not within the 3 year full price in-warranty service.

The "gold" service includes new sparks for example.

It is good value for money but not all dealers offer it at the £200 or so Panda rate. My local dealer is asking £320 for their own "gold" service product.

Hi,

My car was 4 when I first used Gold, so the standard 3 year service was not available to me

I intend to use it again at MOT time, I had the loaner (brand new panda with 200 on the clock) and the car wash :D :D

As you can tell I like the gold service, shame I need a bronze as well due to mileage :-(

Depends on dealer then. I wondered if this was the case.

I've also noticed that the prices for Gold are different - one dealer is quoting £159 +VAT and another £250-329

Unless your mileage is very high do you really need bronze in between? Won't an oil change and maybe filter change be enough?

The big expense from my experience is new tyres. The mileage really does literally strip them away.

Had the MOT done at Kwik Fit last week. Mistake? One tyre needed replacing so for balanced wear I had both front ones done (they suggested it). They then charged for alignment and balancing.

So one new tyre cost me £150 with valves, eco disposal, the MOT fee, balancing and alignment.

I was too embarrassed to argue.

It was worth trying but I won't go to them again. :bang:

That said maybe I will give them another go - it's only money after all.
