Hi guys, just wondered if anyone can offer some advise? When i bought the car a year ago, i noticed that the rear badges were wonky, so decided to take them off (as this was the plan anyway), but it turns out that the silly bint i bought it off had previously debadged it, then stuck them back on with super glue or something!! Just wondered if anyone knows a way to get it off, or is it just a case of sticking them back on properly just to hide the glue marks? Ive tryed a toffee wheel, nail varnish remover, super strength adhesive remover, all sorts! Dont wanna damage the paint either. I spoke to someone the other day that said he would sand it all down and respray the bootlid for £90, but this seems much just to debadge it!

If you don't want to spend money, just keep trying with an adhesive remover, but dont use nail varnish remover as it may strip the lacquer.
But yeah, just be very careful and keep rubbing to smooth it out. Could also try some very hot water or something too.
Just take your time and you wont damage the paint

Probably not and I'm not suggesting anyone here would be. But I have seen it done.

Have a close look with a magnifying glass. You might be able to see if the gunk has welded itself into the paint or if its stuck on top. One idea is to dip some tissue into diesel oil and stick the tissue over the glue spots. The deisel wont evaporate so you can leave it "soaking" overnight. If that wont shift the gunk, probably nothing will.

u can get superglue remover from some places i no halfords sell it mate try that
cheers

Has a previous someone super-glued the badges back onto the car?

Yeah the previous owner must have it was either her or her brother, who owned it before her. Ill try and get it off later, thanks for the advice guys.
